Normally, seeing your team turn around a 1-2 deficit to win 5-2 would be cause for celebration. But Pep Guardiola , who is currently mourning the loss of his friend and former assistant Tito Vilanova , could not raise a smile as Bayern Munich went ahead of Werder Bremen.
Claudio Pizarro scored the goal that put Bayern 3-2 ahead, finishing off a fine team move. But as the cameras cut to Guardiola , it looked as if the Spaniard's mind was elsewhere.
Vilanova succeeded Guardiola at Barcelona in 2012, but he had to resign a year later to focus on his battle with throat cancer. Despite missing two chunks of the season through illness, he still managed to lead his side to the Liga title.
He died at the age of 45 on Friday.
Before Bayern 's game, players and fans observed a minute's silence for Vilanova .
