Miley Cyrus was hospitalized, cancels Sprint Center concert due to illness

Miley Cyrus, who was scheduled to perform at the Sprint Center Tuesday night, canceled her concert and is in the hospital.

Here is the statement from the Sprint Center:

Miley Cyrus’ ‘Bangerz’ tour date scheduled for tonight, April 15, at Sprint Center in Kansas City has been canceled. Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors. She will not be able to perform as scheduled.

Refunds for tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.”

Cyrus has been feeling poorly the last couple of days, according to her Twitter account. “Fever fever go away,” Miley tweeted early Tuesday morning.

On Monday, she tweeted that she woke up sick: “why is this cough coming back #sorethroat #feelingnobueno.”

But Sprint Center spokeswoman Shani Tate Ross had said that Miley’s crew started prep work in the arena for tonight’s concert at 5 a.m.

Miley has apparently been sick for at least a week. Last Monday, just days after her beloved dog Floyd died, she pulled the plug on her show in Charlotte, N.C. just 30 minutes before the start time.
