Our world is a great place filled with many different icons. Each one is unique and representing a culture or a time in our history. Take a look and meet the most recognized icons of our world. You should definitely visit them in 2015.

Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower in Paris has become a symbol for French culture and is one of the most visited buildings in Europe every year. It will whisk you away the moment you come to see it in person, as it truly is as magnificent and romantic looking as it is described in all of the movies and books that reference it. If you are going to be in France, this should be number one on your list of things to see as it will be well worth the visit and the wait in line to get on the elevators to go to the top.

Great Wall of China

One of the biggest and most amazing wonders of the world is the Great Wall of China, which is made of lots of different materials and was built in the 7th century to protect the country from invaders. It is roughly 8,850km, or 5,500 miles long, and stretches from the Lop Lake in the west to Dadong in the east. This surely is one of the best places that you can take your family to, as it is very safe, educational, and set in the gorgeous mountains so there is always a pretty sight to see. A must for anyone on a trip to China.

Taj Mahal

If you happen to be headed towards India, it would be a crime not to go and see the Taj Mahal structure as it is now an icon for the whole country. The grounds are manicured so well that you will feel like you are royalty just by being able to step foot on the premise. It is also a great opportunity to learn a thing or two about Indian history and culture, as it was constructed in 1643 and serves as a tomb for Mumtaz Mahal, the late wife of the emperor Shah Jahan.

Sydney Opera House

The white walls of the Sydney Opera House are famous for sticking out above the sparkling blue water on Sydney Harbor. It is one of the most recognized buildings in the whole world and it is well deserved of its attention, as it is absolutely gorgeous. You can take a tour inside of the opera house if you like to find out the many interesting facts about it, or you can even attend a show in it one of the nights you are in town. But if nothing else, it would be worth a trip to Sydney just to walk around the outside of it on a beautiful sunny day.

Pyramids of Giza

Should you be going to Africa, consider stopping by Egypt to see the ancient pyramids of Giza. To this day no one really knows how they were built, because they are done to perfection that almost seems impossible to man who lived during that time. You can take a tour inside the pyramids and see the old hieroglyphics, or just enjoy a stroll around them and the mighty Sphinx for a few great photos. Another option is to take a camel ride on the grounds, which is easily done as there are people outside the pyramids who can offer you that right away. Of course, given recent issues in Northern Africa, make sure you get a solid travel insurance policy to cover all eventualities and follow advice from the foreign office.
