We're Pretty Good At Ignoring These Problems, But By Putting Them Together Maybe We'll Pay Attention

Reading about guns and violence in the U.S. is never any fun, but it's the stats here on our psychological health that really get to me. But wait! Before you go click elsewhere, take a look at how these two issues are connected. It gives us lots of terrific reasons for helping out many, many people — whether they are involved in violence or not.

This infographic was created by George Washington University's online Master of Public Health program (MPH@GW) (on Twitter) and its School of Public Health and Health Services (on Twitter) in hopes of raising awareness around our broken mental health system and the important role it plays in gun violence in the United States. More stats on the issue here and here. Thumbnail image by M. Glasgow, used under Creative Commons license.
