Not surprisingly, Mike Trout continues to be great at hitting a baseball. The Los Angeles Angels outfielder hammered a game-tying grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday.
Chris Sale had been cruising until the eighth, and then everything unraveled. Since the bases were loaded, he obviously didn't want to give Trout anything over the plate. With the count 3-2, Sale threw a changeup low in the zone, which Trout promptly sent over the fence in left-center field.
Fox Sports' Jon Morosi called it one of moments of the 2014 season so far:
It just shows that no place around the plate within the radius of Trout's swing is ever safe.
