Here's How One Cook Is Transforming How People On Food Stamps Eat Dinner

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as SNAP or food stamps, helps low- and no-income people in the U.S. purchase food. Sounds awesome, right? The downside is a day's worth of food stamps is only about $4, whiiiich isn't very much money. So grad student Leanne Brown created a cookbook that shows how to stretch that $4 to create a variety of healthy and delicious meals! Just thinking of all the people who are going to benefit from this book makes me love the project even more.

The "Good and Cheap" Kickstarter was launched by Leanne Brown. Can't donate to the campaign? You can still download a free PDF of the "Good and Cheap" cookbook on her website!
