The Miami Dolphins will be looking to solidify their position in the AFC Wild Card race when they take on the Baltimore Ravens Sunday as three-point home favorites on the opening betting lines at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark.
With their 16-13 comeback victory over the New York Jets Monday night the Dolphins join the Ravens, Kansas City, Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Cleveland at 7-5, laying claim to the second Wild-Card spot on the strength of tiebreakers.
There are also three double-digit dogs in the bunch as the Falcons, Bills and Panthers all get at least 10 points from odds makers.
Miami rides a 5-2 straight up and against-the-spread run into Sunday’s Ravens vs. Dolphins betting matchup at Sun Life Stadium, and hasn’t surrendered a touchdown in its last two home dates while outscoring San Diego and Chicago by a combined score of 59-9.
Baltimore has struggled following a strong 5-2 start, going 2-3 straight up and against the spread in its last five overall, and 3-3 SU and ATS in its last six road contests. That includes a recent 34-27 win in New Orleans as 2.5-point road dogs. However, the Ravens have had Miami’s number, going 4-0 SU and ATS in their last four meetings.
In another key AFC matchup, the 8-3-1 Cincinnati Bengals take on the Steelers as 3.5-point favorites.
The Bengals extended their lead in the AFC North last weekend with a narrow 14-13 victory in Tampa Bay, their third straight on the road, and have surrendered just two offensive touchdowns while holding opponents to 13 or fewer points per game during the streak.
The inconsistent Steelers are 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS in their last three games, despite outgaining opponents by an average of 102 yards per game, but are a solid 11-2 SU in their last 13 visits to Cincy.
The 9-3 Arizona Cardinals will look to end a two-game SU and ATS losing streak that has hurt them on the Super Bowl XLIX betting odds when they face the Chiefs as slender 1.5-point favorites this weekend.
The Cards remain the top seed in the NFC but have lost ground to the surging 8-4 Seattle Seahawks during their short losing streak. Kansas City has also lost its last two, SU and ATS, while the UNDER has gone 5-2 in its last seven.
In other NFL Week 14 action, the Bills opened as nine-point road underdogs against the 9-3 Denver Broncos, while the Browns visit the Indianapolis Colts as four-point underdogs on the early lines, and the 9-3 Philadelphia Eagles play host to the Seahawks as slim 1.5-point favorites.
