LONDON — The Autumn Statement has landed.


It's one of the two biggest indicators every year about how the UK economy is doing, and what changes the government might introduce to hinder or help people's finances.



Delivered Wednesday by Chancellor George Osbourne in the House of Commons, the message was clear: There are tough times ahead. However, there were also some sweeteners included, which isn't surprising considering there's an election just around the corner
